Wide Bay-Burnett Area Consultative Committee

WBBACC is part of a national network of Area Consultative Committees established by the Federal Government to respond to issues in their regions and encourage the local community take up of Government programmes. WBBACC provides leadership and assistance by:

• searching out the regional advantages that generate growth and development
• working in partnership with community leaders to build enthusiasm for new initiatives
• providing comment on project proposals under consideration under Government programmes
• coordinating the range of resources by which communities can foster development
• maintaining alliances with all levels of government, business and community
• encouraging Federal Government programme take up
